Onam is the biggest festival of the year in Kerala. The purpose of the festival is to commemorate the mythical King Mahabali, celebrate the end of the monsoon season, and welcome the harvest.
These days Onam is celebrated across India, Here in MPS Onam was celebrated in a grand way. A student from grade IV delivered a speech depicting the importance of Onam and Ms. Gomathi narrated a small story on why Onam is celebrated. Students from grades III – V sang a Malayalam song and Students from grades VII – VIII enchanted everybody with a well-coordinated Onam-based dance.
Beautiful flower decoration was done by our students. In the end, grade V students performed an epic dance. Each and every student enjoyed the event.
