Woman is a leader, motivator and an inspiration, a complete circle of life.
Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform.
To honour, respect and celebrate her, International women’s day is celebrated on 8th March globally. It is an important occasion for all of us to pause for a moment to reflect on ourselves, to appreciate how much has been done for women and what more needs to be done in the field of gender equality. Moreover, it is the day to acknowledge all women in the world for making this world a better place for everyone to live in.
On this occasion, MPS went a step ahead in setting a milestone in spreading the fragrance of womenhood. Girl students of Gr 9 and 11 were provided with an opportunity to meet and get inspired by the life, challenges and accomplishments of great women personalities of various professions. Starting from the woman coconut vendor to the DRO of Tirunelveli, students were offered with a chance to meet women of different professions and greet on the occasion.
On the way to the DRO office, realizing on the fact that women play a vital role in the upliftment of the society , irrespective of their profession, students greeted the women auto drivers, lady scavengers, and lady entrepreneurs for their willpower, determination and perseverance by sharing their love with a rose and sweet to brighten their day. Students interacted with them and asked on how they felt on being born as women. Their responses were so motivating and energizing for the young souls of tomorrow.
Students were surprised on getting an opportunity to talk with DRO of Tirunelveli Ms Suganya and the Assistant Conservative Forest officer of Tirunelveli Ms. Hemalatha who welcomed the girls with a smile on their faces and love through their hospitality. Students greeted them and they addressed the girls on the ways to select the profession and groom oneself accordingly into a confident personality. They motivated to create a habit of reading books on daily basis and wished the girls for their better future.
The day and its memories will be etched in the minds of the girls forever.
