In Kindergarten the concepts of learning webbed with activities and hands on exploration encourages interactive learning. Literacy, Numeracy & General Awareness are the areas of specific subjects.
The Kinderjoys faculties have regular and frequent training sessions for productive instructions on Personal, Social, Emotional, Physical, Creative and Enquiry based learning. The annual planner for the KG department is reviewed and executed with weekly themes, competitions and celebrations that connect to skill development, confidence building, conversational skills, storytelling skills and singing through reciting rhymes.
The curriculum is thus designed to nurture the child in all dimensions of his or her life—moral, cognitive, emotional, imaginative, aesthetic, social and physical aspects supported with Montessori and play.
We strictly follow "No Homework Rule" for students upto Grade II as per the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws. School Diary is used for parent-teacher communication explaining what is being taught in class for students.

The variety of Montessori tools like the pink tower with a set of ten blocks in increasing sizes, puzzles with making of a complete view of objects, Beads come in various sizes and arrangements, the knobbed cylinder blocks that are practice for three – finger grip for pencils, add clarity of concepts through sensorial learning and develops independent thinking.
The interactive white boards connect the students to what they see and what they hear. It restricts distraction for our students and helps to focus on listening to stories and rhymes. The tools of the smart board give the teachers a wide and rich data base of online resources.
Flash cards can be bright and colorful and make a real impact on visual learners to address the multi intelligent learners in the classroom. Our teachers use the flash cards for various learning activities like memory activities, drilling activities and identification activities encouraging reading activities and sight reading.
The children here do a variety of objects related to the themes they learn every week. They easily identify the colours and objects and this activity engages them effectively leading to collaborative learning and sharing. This sensory stimulated activity enhances three dimensional (3D) thinking.
Playing with building blocks makes the little engineers grow with creativity and become an opportunity to the little minds .They learn math concepts practically and use for dramatic play and fine motor skill activities.
Phonics is used to teach and do easy reading of English that develops awareness of sound of the English alphabets and spelling rules. This ability helps to hear, identify, and read with the knowledge of patterns (graphemes) that represent the words.
The activity room with soft floor has the story of the jungle painted on the walls for speak on activities and communication building exercises.This room also gives a natural ambiance to the indoor ACTIVITY. The tiny caterpillar tunnels and climbs and slope display bricks are designed for exercise for the little limbs. It is a favorite play spot for every kid.
The outdoor park has giant gross motor development kits that are an endearing spot to every kid at school. The spiral slides with number displays, the spider web climb play equipments, the hang bars with supporting beams and all set in the lawn and tree shade are beautiful place where all the KG kids have fun as they engage in gross motor skill activities.
The Waterfalls are another feature that makes the school a natural learning environment. The children love to play and get drenched in the shower of the water spills that inspires imagination and ensures happiness.
Doodling and playing with colours, brushes and paint, sponges and experimenting with colours is making things visual and drawing out from imagination. It also would teach to connect with nature and its objects. The art instruction helps children to develop their motor skills, language skills, decision making as they choose colours for the drawn objects and inventiveness. Etching out on an easel is a part of one’s own creations and record of creativity. An art room with display of our children’s work is a gradual making of an architect, designer and an artist of the future.
The moments of story depiction through play, role play of leaders, characters in stories are collaborative learning during events. story telling classes go hand in hand with the character role play of the fables, bed time stories and fairy tales discussed and narrated in classrooms.
Nature walk, weekly themed activities with presentation of different colour days to relate colours of objects from nature, rhymes recitation and performances on stage on different themes mark the days more valuable for every parent. The weekly activities also involve parents in activities for competitions and special assemblies.
